Change is constant in commercial real estate—and after decades in the thick of it, I’m making one of my own.
In mid-2026, I’ll be relocating from the DC area to the Hudson Valley, NY to be closer to family. This isn’t a leap into a new CRE venture—this is quasi-retirement: a conscious decision to slow the pace, shift my focus, and prioritize what matters most.
But that doesn’t mean the work stops. In fact, it’s evolving.
At the end of 2025, the Iconic Journey in CRE nonprofit will officially sunset, and going forward from there, its key activities—like the blog, the podcast, and career coaching—will continue under my for-profit entity, Coe Enterprises.
Meanwhile, the community itself will find a new home at Station DC, ensuring members stay connected and supported in the years ahead.
The Transition to Station DC
Station DC is more than just a physical space. It’s a hub for creative thinking, collaboration, and sustained professional growth—exactly the kind of environment the Iconic Journey in CRE community deserves.
This transition allows the group to continue without my day-to-day involvement, while still holding onto the shared values and vision that shaped it. With new energy and leadership within Station DC, the community can evolve in a way that’s nimble, responsive, and still very DC.

Continuing the Legacy: The Blog and Podcast
I may be slowing down, but let’s not pretend I’m fading away. The things many of you rely on aren’t going anywhere—they’re just moving with me:
The Icons of DC Area Real Estate podcast will keep highlighting the people shaping the region.
My weekly blog will continue, offering reflections, insights, and the occasional unsolicited opinion.
Career coaching and guidance will remain available through Coe Enterprises for those looking to navigate their own journeys in CRE.
You’ll still hear from me. I’ll just be writing with mountain views and fewer calendar invites.
Staying Connected
Though I’ll be living outside the DC area, I plan to return several times a year—for community reunions, property tours, and other in-person opportunities. This industry is built on relationships, and I value the ones I’ve made here too much to fully disappear.
This shift is designed to keep our work going—not pause it.

Looking Ahead
The decision to sunset the nonprofit, move the community to Station DC, and continue key offerings through Coe Enterprises reflects something CRE professionals understand well: good timing and clear strategy make for a smoother transition.
I’m proud of what we’ve built together. And I’m excited to see where the community goes next—both within Station DC and beyond.
Thanks for being part of the journey so far. There’s still plenty more to come.
